Each speaker brings his or her own unique insight and experience into the mobile and online world. We wanted to give you the opportunity to get to know the speakers a little better. We think that you will be just as excited to hear from them as we are.

Steven Aldrich

Steven Aldrich is a seasoned entrepreneur and business technology innovator. In his current role as SVP of Business Applications at GoDaddy, he is integral in planning and implementing end-to-end technology solutions for small businesses. He and his team work hard to provide small businesses the technology they need to grow, prosper, and keep up with bigger ones.

Steven earned a B.A. in Physics from University of North Carolina and an MBA from Stanford. Before GoDaddy, Steven worked for over a decade at Intuit building web-based solutions to help small businesses expand. He also founded a startup that acted as an online marketplace, making insurance shopping easy.

Joel Hughes

Joel Hughes is an experienced visionary whose work at Constant Contact has included expanding their existing product portfolio and seeking out potential areas for growth in related markets and businesses. He uses his entrepreneurial expertise in communication technology and mobile marketing to identify and expand in emerging markets.

Joel has founded and sold an impressive list of technology startups, plus served as CEO for multiple mobile communication companies, including Umber Systems and LiveWire Mobile. Before his entrepreneurial career took off, he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester.

Tom Fanelli

Tom currently serves as VP of Product Management at Deluxe Corporation, a company that helps small businesses and financial institutions market their brands. Once a graphic designer, he has turned his branding knowledge into product management over the course of his career.

His achievements include founding his own agency, working in senior executive roles at multiple large public companies, and completing an ebook, Infographics in Action, which presents marketing strategies through infographics.

Trevor Harries-Jones

Trevor has spent the last four years contributing to the development of Yola, now one of the leading SAAS provider of websites and web services for small- and medium-sized businesses. Throughout his career, he has committed himself to helping small businesses find success online.

After earning his Bachelor’s degree in commerce from University of Cape Town, Trevor built a resume heavy in internet and software practices. He has since gained years of experience in the financial and management worlds in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to Yola, he worked as the SVP of Finance at Opentv (OPTV) and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in San Jose and Cape Town.

Brigitte Donner

Brigitte is the VP of Marketing at Campaign Monitor. Before that, she worked at SalesForce for over 4 years, rising through the ranks to become the Senior Director of Product Marketing. She attended University California, Berkeley for her bachelor degree and received her Graduate degree from Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

Zephrin Lasker

Zephrin has been contributing to the world of online marketing since its origin over 10 years ago. He has helped launch several successful companies before Constant Contact, including Pontiflex, where he worked as the founding CEO, Beautility, an e-commerce website, and the North Road Group, and interactive agency. He also worked as the VP of Business Development at i33 Communications, where he implemented the launch of top-notch websites and innovative marketing initiatives.

He now works as the Head of Mobile & Social Product at Constant Contact and contributes articles about a variety of topics to Business Insider. He is also a founding partner at Edge Drop Labs and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Sickweather.

Christian Friedland 

As one of the first investors in Bizness Apps, Christian has played an integral role in the company’s founding and development. He invested in the company in 2012 and has been closely involved ever since.

Christian is a CSU Chico grad. While working on his graduate degree, he founded build.com, which originally started as a school project, then blossomed into one of the leading online home improvement retailers without a storefront. Christian has launched an array of startups including CoffeeTable, Total Credit Solutions, Slakeys.
